PRC be careful with the silkies hair do! Silkies are prone to brain damage and can get very sick from being pecked in the head. It kinda resembles mareks (sp) or wry neck.(the way they act) It can happen to crested birds because the skull is actually open(so I have read). I hope the others will be nicer to him today!

Stupid showgirls......I only got three so far! One of them is a silkie. There were 15 eggs, five not fertile, one blood ring, three quiters. The rest I just listened for internel peeps...nothing so far, but I am going to wait and see!! Location in the incubator could have cause a delayed hatch!
oh and we have a fox haning around down at the barn!! I have told hubby not to throw old eggs down there, but does he listen????? H*LL NOOOOO!!! Guess what that fox likes to eat??!! Thats right rotten eggs!!! They set a trap, and the smart little booger got the eggs and did not get caught. I have a problem with killing this fox, because he has not come around the house, and husband has caused this by getting rid of the eggs there. We have seen this fox at the entrance of the propery for the last 4 years and have never had a problem. It lives around the easment for the property which is about a quarter of a mile from my house. Poor fox.
