Bring your "Howdy's" here!

Don't worry about that...I did the same thing, I got a girls thread locked because I got into a heated discussion about to kill snakes or not. There are just some things that get a person ticked. We all have that one(or two) thing that sets us off. Enemies make us stronger. I REALLy need a good nemesis! Life would be ALOT more interesting! LOL

SAME HERE!!! I mean I don't have chickens YET, just started my coop and have a few prospects, though... But people are VERY judgemental about my tattoos and hair color. It doesn't change who I am on the inside, jeez! BTW, I LOVE your name and avatar and was so ecstatic to see another punk on here! Haha, I'm so cheesy

Also, I'm stoked to have found this thread. I'm new here also, so I haven't figured out who the cool kids are yet. However, on the pit bull rescue forum and rat forum that I USED TO frequent, I was definitely ignored way more than I was answered. Not a nice feeling

And so I don't post there any longer. I know I've already made some enemies on this forum, which was pretty much my fault. I was rude and it was uncalled for. To anybody that I offended or ticked off in that thread, I'm really sorry. That is NOT me. I don't know what got into me.

I actually am quite used to it... I am a city boy.(grew up in Orlando) That has moved out to the country with my wife and 2 daughters. Boy have we caused quite a stir! We now live in a TINY country town in N. Florida, and they are finally getting used to me up at the little feed store. The looks that I got the first time I walked in was hysterical! I mean picture it... A tiny little feed store in the middle of no-where, with all the regulars standing around talking about whatever is is they all sit around and talk about. And in walks this shaved headed, BRIGHT red LONG goat-teed, multiple facial pierced, tattooed and combat boot wearing "wierdo". You could have heard a pin drop!! I get alot of the typical "Yer not from 'round these here parts, are ya?" and "Dang! Did you trip and fall face first into yer wife's jer-ry box?" ( I had to laugh at that one) But I will say, after a while(quite a while) they have gotten used to me... and say "Howdy". I think some of the younger ones just wanted to see how much I would take. The older guys seemed to get used to it quicker than the younger guys did, believe it or not. And the little old ladies around here do seem to LOVE me! But alls cool now. They know I'm a nice guy, and very intelligent. And WON"T take there crap. That seems to havefinally got the younger guys to "friend up". And now they seem to enjoy the fact that they have their own town "wierdo". My daughters had NO problems what-so-ever. I have so many teenage boys sniffing around my door! But the difference is these country boys are SO polite and respectful! compared to the boys that came around in the city! I think it's because their daddy's will WOOP their butts! So all in all I really love it out here.

Aw, that's awesome. I like to think that someday I will move out to the country and live on a farm. Ah.....someday. Most people are cool to me, but there's always the ocassional snot who makes a nasty comment. There was one lady in line behind me at a department store who rudely asked me "Wow, what do you even do for a living?" with the most disgusted look on her face, and in a tone insinuating that I MUST be a low-life since I have tattoos, a facial piercing and hot pink hair. After I politely told her what I do, she shut up. However, I've also had a lot of very sweet older ladies come up to me and tell me that they think my tattoos are beautiful and ask questions about them! I just hate when people are judgemental about things like that. I like the way I look, otherwise I wouldn't look like this! And just because I don't listen to Light 100.5 doesn't mean I'm some delinquent!

I think you look cute with hot pink hair!

Good morning, Princess! I got the PM you sent me about the games. After I build my coop and have extra money I'll check those out! Thank you!

Good morning, chickflick! This weather definitely isn't good for much. I've got to mow my lawn and work on my coop! Hopefully I can get a good portion done before the pm showers, haha.

I just tot back home from the sussex poultry show. It was cool to meet the guy who owned eggcartons.com. I think I saw chickerdoodle but was to shy to say hi. I came home with just one bird which was an astralorp but I really wanted the madarin ducks. Maybe next year

Morning everyone! Punk_Rock I totally understand the whole hangover thing! Thankfully my Roo found a new home yesterday! I think I would be choking him!

I did have fun last night though!

I had to laugh at your Feed store story because I can SO picture this! Glad they all came around though and are friendly to you.

Stevie! How was the Sussex show? Could be see pics of your new girl? What breed did you notice the most there? Sounds like a lot of fun. I have never been to a show before, but one day!

Well, the Sun is Shining brightly and my chickens are waiting to be fed so I will pop back in here after my chores!

I will get pics soon for you guys. I saw mostly silkies and seramas but there where some beautiful polish birds, barred rocks and 1 heck of a jersey giant. I wish my new girl was not so flighty and noisy. I cant even pet her or touch her without her freaking out and flying off.
