Bring your "Howdy's" here!

Morning folks

I'e been running around trying to get outside stuff done before it rains....it looks like rain anyway.
Then I get a call from our twnships tax office

The county already came by last fall to verify we didn't add 4 more bedrooms, etc. ( That would be a world record to add 4 more bedrooms in 3 months ) Anyway, I guess the township had to verify the same info, so they can determine if our house is worth less/more. We don't care what it's worth. We don't plan on going anywhere for a very long time

I love fish of almost any sort, but me and the actual act of fishing don't get along. When we were kids, I watched our friend get a hook in the eye. ( not cool thing to watch when you're 11) Then years later we would fish off of Charlsetown breachway for sea bass, and got hooked in the leg by a moron next to me. THEN, a few years later, we went fishing at a lake in RI. My daughter caught a nice bass that she decided to throw at me..."Here mom catch!" Somehow I got hooked by that

So, needless to say, I leave the actual act of fishing to others, and just wait until it's on my plate for safety reasons

That stinks. I was on youtube about a month ago and typed in fly fishing. Some guy's friend caught him in the eye with a fly. Showed the whole surgery on youtube. I thought it was neat to watch but must be painful to.I have caught myself plenty of times. Yesterday I caught my back with a spinner. Found a jar of my fake nightcrawlers from berkley. Gunna give them a go and see how they do.

I hope we live on the 11 acres in NC. It has a nice stream in the back.

I do like quahogging. That requires no hooks. Just a pair of clam digger pants, your hands, a bucket, and my friends dog who likes to sniff em out

Love that dog..... Master Quahog Hunter

That sounds like a handy dog to have around. I sure wish I would train mine to hunt up morels. Chelsea, it was nice meeting you yesterday.

Thanks for all the plants! I used most of it out back near the path into the woods, out front in the beds, and my neighbor came over and stole some. She's having the same problem
lol.png
It was nice meeting you guys too

Yeah, my friends dog is a lab, and she LOVES finding quahogs. We use her to hone in, and fill our buckets.

Then we have a clambake, and share the wealth with D.O.G. ( yes that's her name).
My friend has a weird sense of humor. People will ask her, oh beautiful dog...what's her name? She says...D. O. G. ....Oh, cool na...wait a minute?? How do you spell that?

The looks on those poor folks confused faces. It's priceless. She also had another dog named G.O.D. That one passed away a couple years ago. He did not like Quahogs.

Helloooooo! Good Morning folks!!

I love to fish ,but hardly ever get to go. About five years ago we had a pond in our backyard and I taught my husband how to fish. He would be out there for hours catching all kinds of huge fish. I hate eating fish, bluemoon and I are opposite on that!!

The was you were traumatized by fishing. I was terrorized by my x step father making me eat them. He was a terrible bully to us. I have always loved animals and I would want to keep some in a tank, he would put them in the sink still alive and gut them in front of me. Well now if I see any silver in the fish I get very ill.

My sister is the same way. We were forced to eat fish all summer because he was a fishing NUT!!

I lived in Panama from 1991 until 93 and I went fishing in Gaton lake and caught tons of rainbow bass. That is the largest man made lake in the world! It was cool because we were in a little boat and the big ships would come through to get to the locks for the Panama Canal. These huge waves would come in a ripple effect. Scared me to death that we were going to tip over! The guide didn't even use a pole and could throw his line further than we could cast ours!!!!

We caught over 100 fish in about 5 hours, then the guide cleaned them in less than an hour! It was great!
Here in NC I used to go fishing in the lower little river alot. Caught crazy stuff like a giant turtle and an eel!!!!

Ahh my Aunt in Indiana would force us to eat corn. EVERYTHING she made had corn. corn on the cob, corn off the cob, corn muffins, corn bread, cream of corn, and the list goes on....We weren't allowed to leave the table until it was all finished either.
Me and my brother were soooo sick of corn by the end of the summer, we couldn't eat it anymore. We still don't eat corn to this day. Not even popcorn. Of course, she jokes with us now, and tells us to eat all our corn, but can't do it!

Your stepfather seems pretty mean. I dont eat much fish. I love the taste of snow crabs and king crabs. Clams I get sick on. They dont taste good to me. I dont get to do much fishing. When we lived in our old house all I had to do was go across the street and down to the stream. Now it takes 15 minutes tops to get to a fishing hole.
