Brinsea exoglow burning chicks??

Can anyone confirm that these marks are not normal? I have 4 lavender Orpington chicks under a brinsea ecoglow 20. They seem to be acting fine and spend a good amount of time under it but they have these darker brown spots that look like burns I can't even find anything about them burning chicks.

I have heard of the ecoglow burning chicks. Someone mentioned it on the mama heating pad thread. Is the heat adjustable?

No it is not, you just plug it in

But the height is. Maybe increase the height and see how things go

The only problem with adjusting the height too much is that they still need to be able to touch it. So make sure not to adjust it too high.
