Helping at the end of the hatch is fine. Look for the assisted hatching guide on here that Sally Sunshine wrote.Quick question-the last of our chicks hatched on Sunday afternoon. But there seems to be two in there still that have large pips and I can see them breathing but they don't seem to be breaking out. I'm not sure if this is a survival of the fittest kind of thing, or if I'm supposed to go in there and try to crack the shell open for them at this point -

Dip the beaks in water and give them time. They should perk up and start eating. You can give them some poly vi sol without iron. One drop on the beak in the morning and evening.My daughter says two of them are not doing well, and have crooked toes, cant walk-please advise.
We got involved this morning and helped them out a bit.
