Yeah my eggs are a little larger. I checked last night and the angle number can go way up. Much higher than I have it set. Probably for larger waterfowl etc. I've heard of someone putting a toothpaste cap down in one side of the reservoir to lower the surface area and reduce humidity. People seem to have great hatches though with the mini so I'm going with it for now. I'm monitoring my egg weight though in case I need to adjust. Also, the brinsea has a cooling cycle to mimic a hen leaving the nest periodically (can be turned off). I think all the minor fluctuations are probably okay since it's that way with a hen. I know it's enough to drive you batty. My first batch in my still air I was ridiculously stressed.![]()
I adjusted mine to 12 and now it appears to be rotating 180 degrees....humidity has been holding at 50%.....I hope I haven't done any damage to them!
I was wondering about the "cooling off" feature too. I think that can be set to 1 hour....I'll double check that again too. I know it says if you're going to use that feature to start it at 7 days, and then it automatically shuts off on day 18.
I will be candling on day 7, so I can set them again with the X side up, then I'll be able to tell for sure, but I'm pretty sure it's all good right now.....I hope!

Indeed....batty, paranoid, fretful, anxious and probably more that I haven't experienced yet as day 7 will be on Tuesday the 12th!!
