Gotta love the Brinsea. I have no regrets with it... **ahem** I mean, it could magically hold more eggs... but hey, I bought the smaller one on purpose & that's probably a good thing! LOL.

Can't wait to see the pictures of your little cuties.

I am sooooo HAPPY! My first hatch!

Yes, I bought the smaller one for that exact same reason. I am only allowed 10 chickens (no roosters) where I live, so currently I now have 6.

And I just happen to have some pictures....imagine that!

I named them 'Chicky Rose Lee', 'Easter' and 'Clover'.

Here's Chicky (R) and Easter (L) -

And last but not least, here's Clover just hatching!

Not bad for a new chick momma!!

The Mini Advance is one of the best small egg incubators. It holds up to 7 eggs. I have one, and I have hatched chicks every time! the temperature almost never goes above or under the selected temp. It has an automatic turner that automatically stops turning the eggs 3 days before the expected hatch date. The only times you need to open the bator is to refill the water and to candle. This is an amazing little bator.

I have to agree, although I have never used anything else. Very simple and user friendly. I honestly can't imagine having more than 3 in it, when they hatched they were falling all over each other!

A very good investment indeed.
i do wish it had humidity monitoring though...having to put a hygrometer in there with eggs and then chicks made it pretty crowded!!

Quick question. I have a mini advance on order, mainly for chicken eggs, but my DH and I have toyed with the idea of hatching turkey eggs. Do you think 2-3 turkey eggs would fit, or is it just too tiny? I know the turner might not work for big eggs, but I could hand turn.

I was incubating 6 saxony eggs, this are as bid maybe even bigger than turkey they fit but yo have to pt them in and angle kind of going around the water tray. The problem was they were to long so the incubator was not able to close so i have to turn them (angle).Hope you understand what I am saying if not let me know and will try to get a pic.

It was pretty crowded with just my 3 EE eggs in it, but it worked beautifully. On the box it says the biggest eggs recommended are duck eggs.

Dose anyone know if you can use the advance with out the automatic turner on I want the digital control display but I am going to hatch some seramas and I want to hand turn them.
