BRM's Bunny Thread! ❤️🐰❤️

Mama, you are a superhero for keeping up with two that are so close. Mine are five years apart.
My grandma had three kids that were born at 13 months intervals, then their 4th daughter was three years after that. My dad was baby number two and he walked at nine months old😳 she said she felt like every day she had run a marathon keeping up with them until they started going to school.
Lol I'm daddy, thank you though. It's definitely been an adventure. I think we have it a little easier than most since we both farm full time and both spend all day everyday as a family

Bred Lilly again to the new fella this morning! I think I’m going to replace her after this. She tries to be dominate over the bucks and I had to hold her down and she did lift. I also put Willow with him because she is showing zero signs of having babies tomorrow and I don’t feel anything in her belly. However, she wouldn’t lift for him. So maybe she is pregnant but we will see. Louie is still having issues with Ember, but she should definitely be ready after I checked her. He tries but she hasn’t lifted, and he quits too soon. Another breeder recommended leaving them together for a couple days so that’s what I’m doing. Hershey had zero interest in Tilly so that pairing will be another day! Here’s the new fella! He has beautiful eyes! He’s molting but looks a lot like Willow.

Gosh, I understand your breeding troubles. So blessed to have my litter now. I will probably be keeping 3, 2 does and 1 buck. Heading to pick up my orange Holland buck today! ... Can't remember if I shared this with y'all yet, but he has a G/C leg, beautiful boy! I love the orange color, so definitely want to add some orange plushies!

Here's a photo of the Holland buck. I will grab more once I get him :)

He’s beautiful!! So are you getting to the point where you are building more hutches? We are about to start one and I’m still throwing around ideas in my head. I can’t decide if we’ll do 3 holes or 6. The breeder we’ve gotten all our rabbits from had a 12 hole commercial cage that I would have LOVED to have. But we don’t have anything to put it under and don’t want to build anything yet because we don’t know how long we’ll stay at our current house. So the hutch we build, I want to make sure we can take with us we move anytime soon.

I am trying to keep everything in our large white hutch. I am selling Chai, but she is out in the tractor. So Mir and Cas on the bottom level, Mop and babies in the middle, Kal and the Orange buck on top with the divider. I am really enjoying the plush lops and I think I will begin breeding them more, so backing out on Mini Lops, but Cas and Mir will stay together. I might get a Holland doe too from a friend with a new litter to breed to the orange buck since all my does can be bonded together.
