Broken Beak please help!

So i walked into my coop this afternoon and found blood spread all over and a broken beak on my show chicken. the blood looked like it had came from some bumblefoot that had broken open but somehow she got her beak broken, it looks like she can drink okay, its almost like she had it trimmed so im not too worried but will it grow back or heal? how should i care for her? any ideas on how this happened? my guess is that she got it caught somewhere but im really not sure where or how else this couldve happened. Any help would be greatly appreciated

I’ve had this happen as well. It’s scary, but the beak will grow back.

You may want to feed wet chicken feed out of a deeper bowl. This thread has a lot of posts about broken beaks:

Thanks! I wet down her feed and she seems to be okay with eating it

Thanks! shes doing a lot better, it doesnt seem that theres any exposed nerves or anything because shes okay with me touching it, shes drinking and eating okay too!
