Broken beak

I just fed my two year old rooster mashed up and watered down crumble pushing it into his beak because he broke the top of his beak about a quarter inch back from his lower . Has anyone had this happen ? And does it grow back ? He let me feed him so he must have been pretty hungry he usually doesn't let you touch him .

I really need to know if this guys beak will grow back! He has had a really hard life for a two year old he was half eaten by a dog last year and has made full recovered except for his tail he is now rump less . I call him the 3 thousand dollar rooster that's how much he cost me in vet and legal fees! Please respond I am really worried for him
