This morning my white leghorn's egg was in the middle of the coop, broken. It was like a strand of broken eggshell, but definitely not enough to be a whole egg.

She's very lethargic and won't eat or drink. We separated her and put her in a cage in the garage, with food and water.

She pooped once, and it literally looked like egg yolk.

We have given her a warm bath, and she still hasn't pooped again---not in about 3 hours.

    Help!

Okay, this happens sometimes. Maybe she got egg bound and then somehow the egg got broken. I'm not sure why that would happen and have never heard of it before. You could try this treatment for egg binding http://hencam.com/faq/the-spa-treatment/ You did the right thing by giving her a warm bath but I don't know what else to do!! So sorry that this has happened. Hope everything works out ok.
