Broken egg still alive and beating all odds?

Tonight when it gets dark can you candle this egg and get clear pictures?

If I had to guess I would guess it's probably not going to make it do don't get your hopes up.

MGG recently brought a chick up to day 18 I think it as. She covered the hole with saran wrap which helped keep things moist and covered.

You say the eggs are due on Friday but you say they weren't all late at the same time so.... Does that mean the first one should start hatching Friday?
Did you mark the eggs?
Why did you open this one?

Yes the first one is set to hatch Friday. I️ marked all the eggs that were in the nest when the hen started sitting, but she has been a bit aggressive so I️ haven’t been able to label anymore. There was already a good size hole in the egg when I️ found it. I️ only widened the hole to be able to keep the inner membrane moist because it was drying out.

I would be worried about the membrane drying out because it looks like you may have a little ways to go. I don't currently have turkeys, but I used to and dry membranes under broody turkey moms were probably the single biggest hatch issue I ran into.
Without that section of the shell to hold in normal moisture levels like a full shell, I would be concerned about it.While I love coconut oil, it isn't the same as a barrier.
Hopefully others will chime in.
