Figured we'd do it while no. 1 and 2 were eating.

I really need to add some straw; lots of it.

Aww man chicks roosting on pallet; not the 2 x 4s and bamboo rods. šŸ˜³

ETA: We sat out with them a while and there was no drama. Seems the Turkens are no punks. šŸ˜ It is 3 am and no screams during the night. Hopefully the morning will be the same for I have to go to work and won't be there. Hubs will be there a bit before leaving though.

how old are they?
Lemme seeee, Brood one is around 16 weeks; Brood two is a few weeks younger; Brood 3 is maybe 4 weeks behind two. I should know these numbers by heart as many times as I have posted them. But it is 3 in the morning and my alarm goes off at 5:45 a.m. I should be sleep vs. looking up chick info in my planner. šŸ¤£

Yah, apparently so. What enabled me was the forecast of famine and starvation in 2023 and the call to self sustainability and NOT looking to the government to help people.

I am too addicted to eating. Ain't nobody got time for what's on the horizon so chickens, among other things, had to be implemented to mitigate circumstances on the horizon.

We were eating six eggs a day between us. Then there is the fact of time to maturation. I onky hope we have enough chickens. Some are brahma so I know they won't be laying anytime soon. But, our Creator God blesses effort and Lord knows I am putting forth some.
