Brooder Bulb question

I switched from a regular bulb to a red one tonight. I have 2 thermometers in there, and they both read between 94 and 99. One is a fish tank thermometer and one is a digital. Strange thing is, they seem to be standing directly under the bulb panting. It's day 3, so I figure the temp is right. They won't move to the other side of the brooder. I think the switch to red confused them. Will they figure it out? Does it take a while to get used to if you change it after a few days?

I would just nudge them to the cooler section of the brooder. They will figure it out though...

Also I recommend the red bulb... They seem to be able to sleep better with the red.. They also don't pluck each other... Really important when raising silkies...
