Hello all. New here but have some knowledge of chickens. My current brooder box is currently getting too small for my chicks. They are almost 4 weeks old and there is 11 of them. It’s still about 35° at night here in northern Wisconsin. These are my first chicks since I moved to our new property so I was wondering if I put heat lamps in the coop and kept them closed off from the outside would they be warm/safe enough to go in the coop where it’s bigger? I understand there are illness risks of keeping them in too small an area and I don’t have much room in our small home for a bigger brooder. Thanks!
