BROODER thread! Post pics of your brooders!

Judy:
Daisy and Roxy (my 2 GSD's) seem to be adjusting very well to the chicks, I have held them and let the dogs sniff the chicks etc.

Yesterday Daisy gave one of the chicks a kiss even (though my wife thinks she was just having a taste

I have used a box inside a very large dog crate. Not only does it make it easy to hang the lamp, but it saves my chickies from being a yummy treat for my cat!

I had some left over lumber, I could'nt just use a cardboard box any more....

I ran out of the free lumber I had, so the top isn't quite finished,... but it has wheels that I didnt use on another project!

We are using 50 gallon totes. We have 25 RIR chicks & 5 Mallard ducklings. They are just 2 days old so they are all in one right now but we'll divide them up as they get bigger. One of the totes right now is being used as a swimming pond for the ducklings for a few minutes a day. Check out my blog to see pics. https://www.backyardchickens.com/web/viewblog.php?id=22744

I am new. just started about a month ago. My question is, well I have many now, onme os my brooding hen, and the other is abouyt my chicks, I think they are about 2 months old, lot of feathers, they are rhode island reds, all hens. They are still separated, when can I place them in the pen with my other 2 hens? So that do not kill or peck each other.
