brooders. You know with the pull out bottoms for cleaning with the chicks on wire.

Here is a pic of my brooder. My 3 yr old daughter wasn't real happy but she likes the chicks.

I didn't have a box big enough for brooding my babies and we still don't have the coop even close to ready for moving the babies in, so I built this multi-room brooder. The small box on the left has the food and water, the small box on the right holds the barred cochin I hatched two weeks before the new arrivals were hatched. I attached the two-week-old's box to the other with a piece of hardware cloth as a window so when they grow old enough to mix together, they will already be familiar with each other. besides, I think he was getting sick of only his image as a companion. I have silver grates to cover the other boxes as well and the lamp on the right goes over the joined sides between the two small boxes, but removed them for this picture.
