Brooder Too Warm???

I always brood at lower temps when in the house. But I reduce temps at a shockingly fast rate, too. Some folks yell at me, but I've lost only one chick in 19 years. That should say something.

My little ones were in a wood open-topped box that is about 2.5 x 3 x 3 with one light above them at about 2.5-3 ft above them, in the garage, and they were fine. I agree with others that your set up is probably too hot.
