Broodin box

I'm building a brooder box in the event my hen does decide she wants to be a mother. It is 2' long and 2' high the only thing i was wondering is the entrance. Thoughts on the entrance only being 8 inches wide by 10 inches high? Will this be large enough for a Americana hen to go in and out of? Thanks

yes my gigantor rooster fits through the whole my ameracauna fit in so she should be fine.
