Broody, Broody, who has a Broody

I have two broodies, a Buff Orpington (?) and a black banty. Will find out how successful the big girl is around the 16th and little girl around the 24th. The actual dates are in the coop where I keep track of how many eggs I get each day.

I have three broody Buff Orps and one broody barred rock. Most of them aren't setting on anything, but do have a buff setting on a clutch of duck eggs. She's gonna be so confused after they hatch. LOL She's not gonna want them to play in the water or anything.

OKay this is my current broody, for a fizzle that is only the size of a coffee can she has 27 mixed eggs under her. Some bany some ee and alot I have no clue about lol. I will be thrilled if that tiny little girl hatches out even half of them. I just had tiny black hen hatch out 7 a few weeks ago, a cream one hatch a dozen and a pekin duck that was a great broody that now I don't know if she will ever go broody again after loosing most of her ducklings to a horrid rabbit.

Here is a question why is it always the smallest of hens that desides to be the momma and stuff a dozen or more eggs under herself and not the biggest hen in the house?

I've got three. All of them mixed hens. They are all sitting on eggs. Big Sexy my first time broody that was hatched here last summer is on 2 eggs(more mixes). The other 2 have 9 eggs between them. I would really like to get some eggs shipped to me of something pure bred that I don't have here. I am lucky? Those mixed hens are great broodies. I seem to have at least one(and usually a few more) sitting from now until they stop laying eggs for the winter.

I have two speckled sussex hens sitting in the same nest on 12 eggs. They will be mixed I hope it works out this year last year a snake got in and ate the eggs. Well be expecting fuzzy butts on the 21 of may

2 of my domineckers are broody. I've only got them on 2 eggs each since this is their first time. We'll see how all goes with them. One of them is relatively calm, just a few ruffled feathers when I try to look under her. The other hen has a little more of a hormonal surge, I think. She's not too happy about me bothering her eggs.
