broody chick?

LOL I came home at lunch to check on my chicks and turn the heat lamp off today because we were in the triple digits in heat today. And when I went out in the garage to look at them. My Buff orpington who is about a week and a half older than the rest of my chicks was sitting on them? Is this normal? It was like 90 some degress in my garage I had to shoe her off I was affraid they would be to hot! Was she being sweet or trying to kill them? LOL

She sounds like she's gonna be the "Mother Hen". heehee

I'm guessing she's trying to mother them, but may inadvertantly be harming them....probably ought to watch her closely..
