what breeds of ducks have you had success with raising babies? I don't want to know just what breeds have gone broody, but what breeds have been broodys and have been good mommas at hatching and raising their babies.

I have Indian Runners and they have done well!

They go broody and they are pretty good I think! This is my Runner that gos broody a lot! She would go after me if I had one of her babies! I have read that Muscovy ducks are really really good mothers I just got some so I can’t wait to hatch under her next year!
This is my Indian Runner that hatches or try’s to hatch ducklings every year! Her and her 2020 ducklings!

Mallards are the best! They are such good mommas! Mine hatched for the first time, hatched every egg in the clutch, and was the best momma ever to the babies!

Welsh. I've had 3 and every one of them hatched a clutch starting in their first year...great sitters, great mommas.

My Cayuga has been broody the 2 years I’ve had her and is a good mother and 2 of my Cayuga mixes went broody at the same time on one nest. Only 1 duckling hatched and they shared raising it
