I need some advise for what to do when my chicks hatch....
I only have two Buckeye hens and no other chickens. They both became broody at the same time. I bought some fertilized eggs to put under them and they are expected to hatch in 3 or 4 days. They are currently "sharing" 6 eggs. When one gets up to eat or drink the other will push one or two from the other pile into their own.
Do you think I will have an issue with the hens fighting over the chicks or trying to kill the chicks that are under/attached to the other hen? They are both very passive and easy going hens and they never fight with each other.
