I have a BO that went broody either last night or sometime today. I have some chicks that should be hatching out on the 22nd or 23rd. I know they say normally wait at least three to four weeks before trying to slip chicks under them, but shes gone broody before and was a great mother, so should I try and slip them under her that night, like the 23rd, or should I break her and just raise the chicks myself?

What are your thoughts?

If your broody is a great mom I'd let her raise them. My broody moms are always so proud of their babies, so I always let them do what nature intended. No one can do it better and the babies seem happier, too.

So you think it would still work with her only sitting one week?
