Hello Chicken friends:
I have three chickens. All about 10 months old. One is a RR, one an EE and one a SL Wyandotte.
The Wyandotte has become very broody. At least I think that's the right term. She lays an egg and then sits on it for days on end. We have no roosters so there is no way that thing will hatch. But, it's a problem because if the other hens go in the nest boxes to lay there eggs, she bullies them out of there. If they do manage to lay an egg in the coop, she goes out and breaks it. Is there anything I can do to quell this behavior?
I got chickens to have eggs and now I'm not getting any. : (
Thanks,
Lynn
