Hello i have a hen who has stayed on her two eggs in the nesting box all day. i m sure she is broody now. what if i remove her eggs from under her, im not sure if im ready for young chicks right now. will this pass now that it has started and will it hurt anything to remove the eggs from her?

Remove her eggs and then move her to a cage with a wire bottom.
The air flow under her sometimes breaks the broody spell.

From the BYC Rules:

* Be friendly and courteous to all members at all times.
* Be nice to newcomers and help them feel welcome . We all remember how it was to be new parents to our feathered babies.

Thank you for understanding. ~Lisa~

There's not much you can do if a hen is broody. Just keep taking the eggs from her daily. She'll eventually get up and join the rest of the flock.
