Broody Hen questions- What a great mom!

My wheaten maran hen just had 3 yellow chicks. Cute as a button.

I wonder, I have a bunch of chicks hatching this week, can I just put them all together with a heat lamp with the broody? . She is a gentle and nice mom and I want to reward her for her work.

But I am selling the chicks, should I just move her back into "general population" with the 2 other hens?

Any advise would be nice!

You won't need the heat lamp, she is the heat lamp! Depending on how many you have, you can sneak them under her when it is very dark, as long as they are about the same age as hers and don't give her more than she can handle. She will take such good care of them, it will be a lot of fun for you, and you won't have to do the work! I love my broodies, and plan to put them ALL to work this spring!
