Currently we have a broody hen and this is her second time going broody this season! Since she seems to be going through her "time of month", the other hens are no longer laying in their nesting boxes but now out in my yard. We have two different areas they seem to be frequenting but unfortunately our dog is getting to them sometimes before we do. I was wondering if the broody hen is the reason they are doing this? Other reasons? or if there is a way I can get them to at least lay inside in the other corner of the coop (they did this frequently leading up to their newest spot). Besides the broody gal we do have two bullies that I just got pinless peepers for since they are the jerks behind my baboon butt flock. I mean maybe it is a culmination of all of it? Anyways any advice or thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
