Broody Hen Thread!

My broody duck . About 3 weeks and counting . These may take longer as she was with a Muscovy drake . 11 eggs when I found her a couple weeks ago while cutting weeds .

Yay.......I have another broody. She is setting in our garage. I found her under the old trailer so I made her a make shift nest. She has 15 eggs. So now I have 4 broodies.
#1 has 13 eggs and is due this Friday
#2 has 13 eggs too
#3 has 15 eggs
#4 also has 15 eggs.
56 chicks due before the 25th. I can't wait......

Yes night is best . They should bond overnight by peeping and clucking .

Those chicks are so cute. Are they all silkies? What color are the chicks. I was looking at the brown ones. Partridge, I imagine, but not sure.

They are Sizzles. I'm out of town so looks brown chipmunk and whiteish chipmunk to me. Haven't gotten to see them in person though. They are a cross between a very multicolored sizzle roo with a black Silkie hen and a white Silkie hen.
