Anyone got any ideas on how to raise the chances of getting a broody hen.

It's a natural thing that can't be forced but I've found if I leave the eggs in the nesting box and make it very inviting they will go broody.

Anyone got any ideas on how to raise the chances of getting a broody hen.

Put a pile of eggs (~10) in the nestbox and if they have a tendency to go broody, they will.

Trust me I have several eggs in my nests. I clear them out every other day leaving behind 4 in each nest. I have 28 hens some arent fully matured but at the least I get maybe 18 eggs a day or so. Its overwhelming but atleast my family eats them. Im allergic unfortuately but I just love the colors and trying to figure out what type of chick will come out.

Haha, how do you make it "inviting"?

By inviting I make it a little more private and cozy lol. I out extra staw in the nesting boxes sonit more fluffy then flat lol. They come in see the pile of eggs and straw and they go crazy throwing hay on themselves lol. Working in their favorite groove. Usually only takes a day or two hahaha
