Without the tape, yes.

This one was shrink wrapped and outside the nest but very much alive. I damped the membrane and then put a little coconut oil on it. View attachment 3516305

I don't know, but it was rolled out away from the nest.

ETA, definitely has active veins showing. It's very lively in the shell. It was cold when I found it.

Yes, I can see it moving and the other two pipped eggs are live as well.

I wouldn't place it close to the hatched duckling maybe place it in a cup on a dry paper towel so the duckling doesn't mess with it.

He'll likely mess with the others too. I guess I should take him out. Is the mother going to accept any of these?
