Hi there! I also live in Australia! I had a hen that went broody around the same age as yours as well. Mine is a Wyandotte and I can never break her, so I just give up and let her hatch.. She hatched chicks in August.... She is broody again and has been for 3 months!!! I have just decided to let her hatch chicks again....
If you can’t break her, just let her sit it out, or if you’re concerned with the scorching summer heat, just let her hatch chicks and maybe you could keep one of two? Maybe one of your neighbours will take some, you never know until you ask! Could you take the chicks to any local animal shelter/rescue?
