I will post candling pics tonight! Yesterday she cracked another egg and it disappeared, never to be found again. I'm not sure what happened with it but I didn't find any blood so maybe something took it? Not sure but hope that some chicks hatch.

This is day 18 candling results. I guess we'll just have to see how many hatch over the weekend. I put chick feed down low and I hung the layer feed up high. Is there anything else I should do before they arrive?

It's day 21 and there is no pips or chicks. I can't hear any chirping from inside the egg either. Should I be worried?

Question 1: Yes, I've seen veining and movement. Now I wish I would have waited and candled later in the day.

Question 2: I did, If these don't hatch I will hatch eggs for someone else. I will give them till they are 26 or 27 days old, I am in no hurry.

Was Thursday day 18? If so, day 21 isn’t until tomorrow... I usually just leave my broodies alone when it comes close to hatching time.
