My hen has been broody for around two weeks, she hatched her first brood around 8 weeks ago and left them 3-4 weeks ago. I've tried everything to break the broodines but she's desperate to sit on eggs. Is it too soon to let her hatch some more chicks as I'm worried about her weight she lost alot of weight when sitting on the first batch on eggs but her being broody means she's eating less anyways. What do you suggest?
She's a light Sussex bantam

I wouldn't let her sit that soon. How are you trying to break her?
Ive shut the nest off,the whole coop, I've put her in a separate pen, taking her off the nest, putting ice blocks in the nest. She's still trying to sit.

Try to get a cage so she can be elevated off the ground and have airflow under her. The wire bottom and air flow makes it uncomfortable for her.

She was in one. That's what I meant by separate pen. She was in this lifted of the floor
