Broody hen

my hen is a mutt, and she is broody
i'm going to let her hatch them off
i have 3 chicken eggs and 8 guinea eggs

Chicken eggs hatch after about 21 days of incubation. Guinea eggs take around 28 days, though some can be a bit earlier. Did you start the guinea eggs a week before the chicken eggs so they should hatch around the same time? I've done that with chickens and turkeys before.

If you started them at the same time the chicken eggs will hatch first and the broody will take them off of the nest to get food and water, abandoning the other eggs. You won't get any guineas.

but she might abandon the guinea eggs once the chicken eggs hatch. I guess have an incubator ready
