Broody hen

Hi,
Can anybody help? My Broody has been sat on her eggs now for23 days, no sign of chicks, is it normal to go over 21 days or should i give up?

Don't give up yet. you could wait a few more days or if you want you could try candling them to see what going on in there. the eggs should be completely dark with a light bit at the big end and if the chicks have piped into the air cell then there will be a little bit of dark in the air cell.

.... AND if nothing hatches...you could always go to the feed store and buy a couple of chicks for her to raise as a reward for her 23 days of faithful sitting on those eggs.
