Broody in the Dog's Bed

Mrs. Gracey (the hen) chose a good spot, no disturbances, protection from a dog, a warm bed, everything the perfect hen could need!

As Mrs Grey only comes out once in every two days I offer her food and water on her 'nest'. Today the whole thing got just too much for her....she fell asleep in the food dish

!

This is a unique hen.

Half an hour later she was out and strutting about. I candled her eggs.. I think she only has two Brarrens or Whamas ( Brahma X Warren!) looking viable, but it's no surprise as a) the pure bred eggs were broken by hubby and b) our recent fox attack has stopped most of my girls from laying and c) My best 'stud' is still recovering from his vicious fox attack, so is 'off his stride' for the time being.

She (and me!) will delighted if she hatches anything,
