Broody mallard hen

I have a mallard mix and she just started brooding too... spring I guess?

I guess all of yours will "catch" it soon... my two mallards started it and now I have more going broody.... its a hormonal nightmare in the duck pen. The drakes are like WTH happened to our ladies? lol

I only have a pair my mallard khaki mix and my khaki drake. That is why I am letting her brood so I have more. But yeah my hens are in full mama bear mode.

We fenced off an area for the broody mallards inside the coop last night. Looks like they will start hatching sometime this weekend. Fingers crossed.

No idea. I just know there were about 14 eggs in the nest.

I'm not sure yet. Need to see how many hatch first and then decide what we want to do.
