what to do with broody hen that isnt setting on eggs and we dont have a rooster!!!??? She is 3 weeks now on the nesting box. I get her out twice a day to eat and drink but she goes back.

Get that girl some fertilized eggs and let her hatch them out!
(Sorry, I'm a chicken enabler.
)
Other wise, you are going to have to break her from being broody. You need a wire cage and NO nesting material to put her in, just food and water in with her o that cool air can hit her bottom and breast area for a few days and that will do the trick.
Alo, a good thing to do is to hit the search tab in the blue bar up top and enter "breaking a broody". Great feature here!
baltimoreharps- One day here as well!! I went out this morning and heard chicks chirping in the eggs!!! The mom is clucking back i cant wait any longer!

Sorry to hear about the one that didn't make it. Congrats on the others. I have been waiting on your post. Been watching the thread all day. Good to hear that you have babies. How many eggs left? What breed? How is the mother doing?
