Is it possible to move a broody hen on a nest to a more suitable location if I move hen and eggs? If I do that will it throw things off?

I tried to move a bantam hen sitting on eggs in the middle of my field. She was about one week along when i found her. I tried putting her and the eggs in a crate so she would be safe from predators. Sadly, she went into a frenzy in the crate (even though it was light, roomy, and had bedding and her eggs). I let her out, and put the eggs back, only to find she had got eaten overnightMoral of the story, maybe don't put your broody in a crate. She was also a flighty and tiny bantam. Sorry for the sad story, just trying to help.
I’d suggest at night that way she can’t see what’s going on. My broodies always do better moving st night, because they can’t see so they don’t freak out as much.
