Broody? Panting? HELP PLEASE!

Thanks everyone! Such a great advice. Sorry for the late reply.

I honestly am not sure what helped, but off the cuff, I also slapped a tad bit of coconut oil on her vent and 5 minutes later her egg popped out and she was off and running with our other two.
Sigh of relief since she is my favorite (wink) and we lost one a week and a half ago. The kids & I would have been devastated.

It was 85 degrees here in California, so not too hot, but with all of her feathers, I can only imagine.

Since we can remember, she has always been somewhat of a beak-breather, but it was more noticeable for sure yesterday.

I will try and get another video of her up in a few minutes. I just wanted to take a minute to say thank you and update. :)

Here is a video of her today. She always kinda has her beak open for breathing. Is this something I should worry about?

They all three will take a dust bath on top of the grave of Penelope who passed a week or so ago. :/

Then it was likely panting from stress/pain not the heat....tho that could have contributed.
Not sure how long she was like this, but another reason to cut out the ACV as it can interfere with calcium uptake.
Calcium helps with egg shells, but it also helps with muscle contractions that get that egg down the pipes.
Glad she's OK!
