This is the first time:
My silkie has been sitting on one egg for a while...not sure exactly, but getting close to 21 days. If it is a dud, do they know and push it out? Or will it start stinking? There were two and one day I went in and the other one was gone. That was about 1 week ago.
Now, should I move her out of the nest box into a small crate in the coop for her and baby(silkie maternity ward), or leave them alone and see if something happens, I looked today to see if there were any cracks or anything(while she was taking her break) and it just looked like it always does.
