Broody Question

I'm not sure but i think at the age of any other chicken would 6-9 months.

Generally Leghorns are not going to go broody. In fact they were bred to be egg laying machines. Instead of taking a few months off through out the year to hatch babies, they were bred to just lay and lay. Not sure on the Turkens.

Naked Necks are excellent broody hens and even better mothers, any hen will not go broody until they are laying and some that are production bred will almost never go broody. It really depends on the personality and breeding of the hen. If you do have a good broody save her pullets as this is a trait passed on. My NNs will go broody at the drop of a hat but I have selectively bred them this way. As mothers no other critter will mess with their babies till they get older.
