Broody Silkie had 8 eggs, 7 hatched but....

I have had a silky broody hen and she's been sitting on her eggs for the last 21 days. 7 of the 8 hatched, the 8th egg I placed in my incubator as it was still viable, with 12 others I am incubating. It's been 2 days since the other eggs have hatched and the lone egg that did not hatch is starting to, in the incubator. Should I take the egg out and put it under the mama or wait till it hatches and put it under the mama?

I'd wait until it has hatched and become mobile. Then I would put it under her in the evening.

Thank you, this is a first for me. I've always incubated eggs, but never had a mama sit and hatch before. She'll be happy to have all of them together again.

Baby is doing amazing. I placed her with Mom yesterday afternoon, so she could start getting caught up with the rest of the babies. It went perfectly. She ran to her and went right under her chest. Love them!

She doesn't want me bothering them or her. She's super protective and alert now. She's doing an amazing job.
