Hey everyone,
I just wanted to post to share with you something I have never seen before. I have one silkie hen who raises her first brood who had her first broody siting at 5 years old. Never before has she been a mother. 2 years ago she had her first clutch and ever since has been taking care of her babies will past 1 year old!
Isnt that insaine! I see her all the time tell her full grown children where the treats are and water.
Her babies are a polish hen and one bald neck serama, and they have never rousted a day in their lives, they still NEST WITH HER, dispite having a low set roosting bar.
Isnt that weird, has anyone seen this before?
