What's going on with the Faverolle, is she still broody?

When she's out for her daily constitutional she runs around with her hackles up and challenges everyone to a fight. As I just posted on another thread, today she picked a fight with Impy, Jethro the silkie and Dixie, the SS.

Mean girl! I'm afraid how mean she's gonna get when the chicks hatch. Gonna wait until DH is off on Friday to candle them, since I need his help to re-arrange some things in the coop anyhow.

Ahh, the I stuck my finger in an outlet look! My girl did that too.

They get even meaner when the chicks hatch! I learned to go at her with my fingers tucked into my palm so there was nothing to bite! Don't mess with a hen with chicks!

But now my girl is sweeter than ever. She comes running for me when I go into the run to be picked up.

My NHR who never has gone broody Peck my lip and makes it bleed when I pick her up!

One of my friendliest chickens wanted to get my attention today & pecked at the glove when I was not looking. It did not hurt because she got the glove & not skin.

I did get my babies, she hatched them in September. She was just trying to protect her babies. She had a rough time reintegrating into the flock, and now she thinks she's my lap chicken. She sees me coming in the run and she runs to me to be picked up.

'Tis okay my friend. My broody SF has settled down nicely.

I tried to check under a turken for eggs tonight before closing up the coop and got bit and hissed at. I hope this doesn't mean what I think it means.

I'm sorry you've been sick. Hope you feel 100% better real soon.
