Broody Trouble! Please Help!

You can try and listen to the eggs or weigh them. Somewhere on BYC was a thread about tracking the weight of developing eggs to know where they were in development.
All the eggs I hatched last were black the first time I candled after knowing they were viable. I couldn't see a thing! You may be able to hear movement or peeping if hatching time is close.

They did not move eggs. There is a piece of wood between the two with eggs and the other incubated in our hay barn.
Where is the one with already hatched chicks?

When you candle are you having any success?
Have you had some practice?
Doing it with a bright light in a very dark room?

Yes, she was in the hay barn. We moved her and her last egg to the coop. We gave the egg to another bird because, she was walking around with her chicks outside. They were less than a day old when found, so the egg was continuously sat on.
