Hello everybody!

This is my first time attempting to incubate eggs from scratch! (pun intended...)

My father has raised chickens since I was a child, and loaned me his Brower Model 846 100 egg incubator which he purchased before I was born. I had a couple of questions regarding it:

1) Does anyone have a manual for this model? Or perhaps something that they can scan into a pdf?

2) Is there any quick advise you'd like to give before I attempt this?

I've done quite a bit of research on the subject, and being a science buff with a technology background, I would love to hear it from the experts on how to accomplish "Project Chicken-Genesis" (I'm a trekkie too...) in the most efficient way possible.

Thanks guys! I'm glad that there is a forum like this to help each other out.

My neighbor lent me this to use. It is a CHAMP! Holds temp no matter what the ambient room temperature. Not finicky, and easy to use.

Drawback are that t only has a TINY window to check the temps and you can't see the eggs.

I used mine for the first 18 days to turn the eggs (by hand) and then switched the eggs into a newer one for hatching. I ended up hatching simultaneously in the Brower and an LG for my latest hatch, and all went well until Day 20. All 4 eggs in the brower hatched, but one got REALLY stuck due to low humidity.
