Brown Leggerns From ideal

Leghorns are a favorite of mine. I have ordered every color of leghorn that Ideal sells. They are normal hatchery quality. Out of 1,000 or more chicks from Ideal, I have only had maybe 5 DOA's. Ideal has light brown, dark brown, rose comb brown, and the Danish brown. If you white leghorns have dark spots they are not the pure white leghorn. You either have the Ideal 236 or what they call the white leghorn. If you do not want the spots you need to order the one that says White Only White Leghorn or they will ship the ones with the spots. Personally I like the white leghorns that I got from Welps hatchery better. The seem smaller and have a big floppy comb. To me smaller is better because they eat less but still lay a big egg. Both are hardy good egg machines. Most of mine are not as flighty as people claim. Maybe it is how mine are raised but I can easily handle them.
