Brown Marmorated Stink Bug and chickens

Now see, mine won't eat them at all. Not even if I pick them off the plant and hand them to them.

I always knew I had spoiled rotten chickens.

We had them all over the place when we lived in New Jersey. Any warm day in the winter they'd all come out of their hiding places and buzz you while you slept. Just awful.

Thanks for the reply. That's a big relief. Now I have a HUGE source of worry-free treats!

Doesn't affect the eggs at all ... it if did, I wouldn't be feeding them to my birds.

Now who is going to figure out how much protine is in them! How do they do that!

I think that a lab would have to analyze them and I'm not going there!! If my girls will eat them that is good enough for me. A funny story. Today I cleaned out the hen house. Moved all the chicken furniture and out popped a family of mice. Well the girls that were supervising the cleaning saw those mice and the chase was on. I let out a yell and my husband came running(really a slow walk) over to see what was wrong. He went into the hen house and closed the lower dutch door. Now he is hunting mice with the girls. The rest of the flock heard the action and now become a rabid mob. Next I hear my husband yell "incoming" and a mouse comes flying out the top door. Well, you never saw such a riot. I feel sorry for the poor mouse. It never had a chance.

I can just picture it!!! We have mice in the garage but my DH will never let the girls in for a hunt

We have a problem with deer ticks and mice are a stepping stone for their development so I'd love to see the mice chickinated.

Really you should have been there. Between my crazy husband and the crazed chickens it was quite a sight!! Seriously, chickens love to hunt mice. Our BO rooster got into the act and now we will have to call him The Terminator!! What the chickens don't eat, they bash to death. kind of gruesome.
